By now your boat should be winterized, but here are a few extra tips to avoid unexpected or expensive seasonal damage:

• Ensure your canvas or boat covers are well-supported for snow loading
• Heaters should be on/functioning with tip-over protection
• Boats in the river/fresh water should prepare for cold temperatures – ensure through hull valves are shut, sea strainers and manifolds are drained, and there is heat in the engine room
